Instrument Cluster Update (Blue)

One thing that I have noted is that the odometer and trip meter are not functioning correctly. Given the impact with a deer, this is not surprising. The trip meter reset knob was fully pressed into the speedometer housing. I also noticed that the odometer is clocking about 20% of the miles it travels. Good thing I have good records of usage from the previous owner.

I sent the speedometer off to Overseas Speedometer Repairs in Austin with instructions to repair and correct the mileage.

While I have it apart, may as well install the KatDash. This is a good upgrade for any airhead and makes night riding much more enjoyable. Installing it is pretty straightforward and it’s fully plug and play with these bikes.

I am also putting in a LED head lamp, voltmeter, and clock light.
